Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Invariant.dev, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using our event monitoring services.

2. Description of Service

Invariant.dev is a developer platform that evaluates invariants and business rule constraints between asynchronous events in real-time. We reserve the right to modify, update, or temporarily suspend portions of our service to perform system maintenance.

3. User Accounts & API Keys

To stream events, you must generate API keys. You are solely responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and ingestion keys.
  • Ensuring that streamed event payloads do not contain sensitive or unauthorized personally identifiable information (PII) of your users.
  • All activities that occur under your API keys.

4. Plan Limits & Fair Use

To guarantee service quality and low-latency rule evaluation across all workspaces, we enforce plan-specific limits:

  • Free Tier: Limited to 10 active rules and 100,000 processed events per month.
  • Pro Tier: Limited to 50 active rules and 1,000,000 processed events per month.
  • Downgrades: If you cancel your Pro subscription or downgrade to the Free tier, our platform will automatically adjust active rules to stay within the 10-rule limit. You can toggle which rules are active or inactive manually through the console.

5. Payment Processing & Reseller

Subscription upgrade purchases are conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record (MoR) for all orders. You agree to comply with Paddle's terms and conditions during the checkout and billing processes.

6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". Invariant.dev makes no warranties, expressed or implied, concerning the timing or delivery of external alerts (such as Slack Webhooks or HTTP calls) if the failures are caused by network congestion or third-party outages. In no event shall Invariant.dev be liable for any consequential or indirect damages.
